Batman: Assault on Arkham - Trailer (Official) & Review

To be fair, my initial take on this film is that I was planning on sitting down to watch a Batman Movie...

This really is a Suicide Squad movie... With a touch of Batman..

Compared to the TASK FORCE X episode of Justice League, this animated featured calls upon  the entire Batman rogue gallery - or so it seems.

Have to say I thought this was the worst version of the Penguin I have seen. Perhaps that impression by my love of the new Penguin growing up on TV's Gotham on Fox.

The Deadshot - Harley Quinn - Joker love triangle is the highlight and best part of the entire show.

If you do pay for this, pay a little extra for the bonus features. The mini documentary on Arkham and Harley Quinn are great.

"Unusually Thicke" Name of new TV show and Alan's penis - Growing Pains anyone?

"Unusually Thicke" a reality show with Alan and family.

Sounds more like Modern family 2. 3rd Wife, Tanya Thicke his younger wife wants a baby. 16yo from 2nd wife getting ready for college.

Like a bad comedy, I think I already know more than I care to from promos.

Unaired Wonder Woman Pilot 2011 - WATCH IT HERE

WTF!!!
I just watched unaired WONDER WOMAN PILOT. WOW! David Kelley turned Diana Prince into a Corporate Entity and the whole world knows she is Wonder Woman. There is no surprise why even the Pilot never made it to TV. A lot of the elements were amazing. Adrianne Palicki works as Wonder Woman. But seriously there is a board meeting sceen where Diana is overseeing the toy development of WONDER WOMAN product line. Drug Testing Pharm run by Elizabeth Hurley is confusing as hell. Although ridiculously cast by the body builders from Planet Fitness commercials, the actual fight choreography was great.

This show was about 20 rewrites away from being good.

If you can stand these guys talking MST 300 style thru entire episode you can watch here...

WTF - These guys don't know who Steve Trevor is? It is unclear who he is in this version but they had never heard the name. How can any true DC fan not know the name Steve Trevor.

El Rey presents From Dusk Till Dawn

Finally saw first three episodes. I love this show. Totally not what I expected...

I was expecting a lousy sequel to lousy dtv sequels.

Instead this is a total reboot. The original movie showed the first three episodes in about 5 minutes.

Did not realize this until second episode. Robert Patrick driving RV in almost exact same outfit as Harvey Keitel.

Don Johnson has a killer cameo in first episode.

Third episode really starts to cool. First with FES as a bad ass vampire. Ritchie is really starting yo lose it. Seth is trying to stay in control.

Love this shoe.

Best New Show of Spring 2014? The 100 on CW

This is a show I was expecting to hate. So many CW shows are just not meant for me. This one was not either per se. Definitely a teen audience geared series.

However, no matter who the intended audience, when a show is well conceived top to bottom, it can be enjoyed by all.

Intense LIFE OR DEATH plot puts the remainder of Earth's Survivors - 97 years after Nuclear Disaster made living on the planet impossible - in dire straights. The world's space stations came together to create the ARC. A futuristic last resort for humanity, where ever crime is punishable by death, just to spare resources. Under 18 year old criminals are spared till their 18th birthday.

But now there is only 4 months of living to do aboard the arc. So in hope the earth might be ready for human life, they send 100 teenage prisoners to test out the planet. But of course numerous factors make things less than simple. Most make it to the surface.

Politics are at play on the base and Earth.

On the station, the Chancellor (Isaiah Washington as Chancellor Jaha) is shot by an earth bound refugee of sorts (Bobby Morley as Bellamy Blake). Second in commend grabs control and immediately consolidates power. Acting Chancellor Kane (Henry Ian Cusick from Lost) has survival as his first priority, willing to sacrifice just about the rest of humanity to do so (Paraphrasing) "I will legislate us down to a new Adam & Eve if I have to"

Councilwoman Dr. Abigail Griffin (Paige Turco) is arrested after using too much blood and power to save Chancellor Jaha.

KAne "I am trying to make sure the human race survives"
Griffin "I am trying to make sure we deserve it" (Might be paraphrasing but that is the gist)

About to be executed for the offense, Chancellor Jaha intervenes just in time with a pardon.

On the planet, Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor, and Daughter of Dr Griffin) is focused on survival 101. We learn she and her father found about the short supply issue aboard the arc. In order to spare the population mass hysteria, he is executed when he refuses to keeps secrets. Clarke, being under 18 is sentenced to prison isolation to keep the secret.

But she is up against LORD OF THE FLIES future teens style. AS former prison residents that do not trust their former captors, this is a chance for true freedom. Most choose anarchy.

Clarke leads a small group - including Roderick Rules from Dairy of a Wimpy Kid (Devon Bostick as Jasper ) and a Neve Cambell type (Marie Avgeropoulos as Octavia Blake) with the misunderstood Bad Boy and computer geek (Christopher Larkin as Monty Green)- to go find Weather Mountain, where there is supposedly a stash of emergency food and other supplies. Their trip leads to beauty (Glow in the dark moss) and horror (Giant killer snake)

Back at the Camp. Wells Jaha - Chancellor's son - is hurt (missing a leg) and refusing to comply with the anarchy. Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) is sort of in charge of the anarchy. Bellamy gets all to remove tracker bracelets. Hoping the folks on the Arc will think the mission successful, the others will not follow and the 100 will have free reign.

Richard Harmon (John Murphy) is known most recently for playing young Julian Randall on Continuum (SCYFY - another great show) clearly has a dark past and murderous intent. This guy will be a problem... Bellamy seems more like a misguided leader - a teen that just wants to get away form parental guidance. John Murphy is more pure chaos.

All seems great until a mysterious creature in the woods threatens the very existence of the 100.

So with 100, you can kill of one teen per episode and still have 5 seasons before sending another 100 to earth. SPOILER ALERT - Roderick will be freed up for next Dairy of a Wimpy Kid movie way too soon. This kid is a great actor.

WATCH THIS SHOW!!!

Resurrection on ABC needs an early demise...

Some stories are just too complex to do in 2-3 hours. You need a Cable style series to really develop the characters and plot. Resurrection on ABC7? Should have been a 2-3 hour movie. Not horrible but so many shows are so much better these days...

After watching two episodes, I'm out... Rather watch CSPAN...

Been watching too much Shark Tank lately LOL

From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series - OFFICIAL Trailer

Has anyone seen this yet? LOOKS AWESOME!!! Better than the two direct to video movies. I have FIOS in NJ and as far as I can tell do not get this channel. Dying to see it!!!

Believe on NBC Pilot recap and review March 10, 2014 SPOILER ALERT

Not the reboot of Firestarter I was expecting but close...

So its the same old premise. Someone with a special gift is chased by the power hungry yet compelled and stop to help people. Yet another NBC show that dangles the carrot but you know they will give up on before it blossoms.

EXCEPT...

I really liked this show. Johnny Sequoyah plays a very likable character in Bo. I enjoyed TOUCH but the boy on that show was so limited. I think they blew it by waiting two seasons to let him speak. They assumed they would have a third season to explore that. They were wrong.

This show got right to the point. The skip a lot of the usually WHO IS AFTER THIS CUTE LITTLE GIRL? Answer: Kyle MacLachlan as Roman Skouras. WHY? Because she has power and Kyle wants it.

And WHY DID THEY CHOSE TATE TO SAVE HER
Answer: Tate is the Father. Even Luke had to wait almost 4 hours of movie to learn that. Well Bo doesn't know yet. Or does she...

And the chemistry between Bo and Tate is cute. Almost comedy team like in the dramatic world.

Great action!!! First episode has Kate Beckinsale clone (and pretty good at that - i was expecting the worst - got pretty darn good) working to secure Bo for the bad guys. She is supported by a whole lot tech support. Clearly those looking to find her have more money and resources than those trying to save her.

WATCH THIS SHOW!!! While it lack a major element of mystery, the writing, direction and acting are top notch. While the premise of Black list is more intense, I like this show better. One of the best new dramatic (non-cop) show from NBC in 20 years. (How many horrible reboots of 1970s/80s hits did we have to endure...)

Cool project form the guy that gave us GRAVITY...

New on ABC "Resurrection" Recap and review of Pilot Aired Sunday March 9, 2014

OMAR EPPS IS BACK!!! RED IS BACK!!!

Did you watch the new show? I did. All along thinking "Do I have time for another show?" I already have DVR set for an average 2 shows/night. NOW Sunday & Mondays I am starting to over load.

I have to say at times I found this show to be great. That moment when Mom (Lucille Langston) sees her 8 year old Jacob - who died 32 years ago - is truly heart breaking tear jerk moment. This show definitely grabs you. The performances are great. Obviously a lot of work has gone into the casting and direction of these talented folks and interesting characters - MOSTLY.

Every few scenes you get a character that seems to be a reject from UNDER THE DOME - possibly the worst cast and directed talent pool in years. This is a syndrome form the TV shoot schedule. As an actor that as appeared on TV shows you have little to ZERO preparation beyond a little direction at the call back as they looks for just fit. Some actors adjust well to this (mostly those with strong Improv background) while others - mostly those picked for looks over talent - struggle. Good direction, filming and editing can hide the bad acting of pretty faces, but when a director insists on artsy fartsy True Detective style long panning shots with CW type actors, you just fail. Sorry, Samaire Armstrong, I am referring to your over / under acting. Most TV shows would probably be great to have you. In this strong cast you stand out in a bad way.

Cinematography does not quite match the tone of the show. Too matter of fact look for me. Feels more like Steel Magnolias than a JJ Abrams style sci fi mystery. JJ has nothing to do with this show but it has that something weird is going on and over the course of 5+ seasons we may get a reason why. Or it may be another lost WTF ending?"

Show starts with 8yo Jacob (Landon Gimenez) waking up in China. From the Good Earth rice fields, Immigration officer, Martin Mellamy (Omar Epps) bring Jacob home to Acadia, Mo. Acadia Mo is 2014's TV version of River City Ia (Music Man). Distrustful of outsiders, the town has a cold reception - especially from Sheriff Fred Langston (Matt Craven), whose wife died with Jacob 32 years ago.  Jacob remembers things about that fateful day differently than initial reports. Apparently a man was there that no one knew about - a man that is apparently a former employee of Henry's and was having an affair with Fred's wife. So there is no shortage of future Soap appeal.

Through out episode there is a strange man (Sam Hazeldine) heading for Acadia. Lurking around town, he seeming is threatening to Jacob. At end of Episode we learn he is Caleb Richards, Elaine's father.

Good show. Could be great. Time will tell.

His surprise return inspires the local sheriff, whose wife drowned trying to rescue Jacob, to learn more about this mystery.

True Detective 1x08 SEASON FINALE Recap & Review

So I watched on demand just now. I had to stop working and watch before I heard an possible spoilers. I already heard a number of debates on the merits of this finale on various news and talk shows in the past 24 hours. So had to watch for myself...

I was fearing the worse based on something someone on CNBC said. However becuase I was expecting the worst I think I enjoyed the episode at the highest possible level...

For me it was awesome. With the extend denouement, I was so expecting a harsh resolution like redistribution from the conspiracy etc.

So I will keep this short because I need a shower to wash the creep factor off...

We finally met the Yellow King. We met him once before mowing a lawn and back then I had my suspicions. The opening scene had scary memories of X-FILES "HOME" where an inbred  family killed and lived in a way most inbred folk would curse. You get the sense that what they showed in this series is far less horrible than what actually happened.

Cut to Rust & Marty back on the boat interrogating their old buddy from CI. We realize that the system could never have investigated this case, because real cops cannot do what Rust & Marty do to get to the truth. And how about that bar owner. Best shot out of all bar owners of all time. Misjudged that book cover for sure...

Only fault? I really found the set for the final showdown to be a bit over done. Guessing that was an old fort that had been retaken by the swamp. But it felt way too much like a haunted house. Just fake enough to not take seriously. Either way still loved the intensity of the scene.

Long story short, I am guessing Matthew McConaughey is going to head to Broadway next so he can win the Hat Trick. because if he does not take Best Actor at the Emmy Awards, I do not know who will. Who else this year - so far - has (or can) delivered a monologue like that and held our attention with such minimalism. His only competition is Woody. Alright Alright Alright...

Looking forward to the big finish!!!

Revolution on NBC - Twilight

Revolution rips off Wizard of Oz, Matrix, and more in this episode for some pretty funny moments.

This is one of those shows that is good but every time I watch I feel it could be better. It just seems to try so hard. But I do love the mythology the series has created and JJ Abram usually delivers so I want to see it play out. I just think the characters lack a serious need of love. They are too cookie cut at times.

ANYWHO... What will come next now that the Nano are fixed?

We lived in an electric world. We relied on it for everything. And then the power went out. Everything stopped working. We weren't prepared. Fear and confusion led to panic. The lucky ones made it out of the cities. The government collapsed. Militias took over, controlling the food supply and stockpiling weapons. We still don't know why the power went out. But we're hopeful someone will come and light the way.

TRUE DETECTIVE on HBO Season One recap, review, cast and character breakdown

As Marty says "You can't choose your parents and you can't choose your partner."
If you are a fan of great actors dong what they do best, continue to watch show and then read below...
If you have not seen this go BINGE and come back. Episode and Characters/Cast guide below with plenty of spoilers... Although unlike so much TV/FILM, even if you know what will happen the performances and journey captivate you, not some much the cliff hangers etc

"The writers have delivered the perfect pitch and Matthew hit it out of the park!!!" Me - below
(More about characters, cast and individual performances scroll down)

This show is all about dissecting the psyche of each character. At times the pace is slow but filled so well with powerful writing and acting, this show had me from the first down beat. The title is taken from the "True Detective" Magazines and pulp fiction genre.

At the time of writing this article I have watched episode 1-7 and eagerly awaiting episode 8. I watched the pilot twice. Took me a while to get my wife on board. I personally was hooked form the first preview i saw at the theaters last summer. We watched episode 3-6 in one day.

I am just learning now that this show will be anthology style. Similar to American Horror story, each season will be a different set of characters. Unlike American Horror Story, looks like the cast would change yearly. Torn about that. Woody and Matthew are so FRICKIN AMAZIN in these roles. BUT going to be hard to imagine in other roles they are so good.

This show is another example of how the best writers are now in TV. The worst writers are also in TV. So I feel bless to be able to watch the perfect storm of concept, writing, directing, casting and acting form top down...

SEASON ONE EPISODE ONE PILOT
"The Long Bright Dark" January 12, 2014
Its 1995 - Rust (Matthew McConaughey) & Marty (Woody Harrelson) arrive on the scene of a brutal crime scene that resembles Hannibal - and not just because of the antlers. A dead girl, Dora Lange,   is set up ritualistically in kneeling position with markings and cuts. The crime scene is littered with Triangular stick formations. "Caught a bad one today," says Marty to his wife later. Marty - the senior officer at the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division (CI / CID) - tries to be friendly and get the cold and distant Rust to open up - only to not like a single word. "Shut the F*** UP with the Sh!!" Rust is a brilliant crime scene investigator with a morbid surreal take on life and death. At times he resembles Rain Man and Sherlock Holmes with a touch of Suicidal Jumper. Usually people that talk this way are one bad day away from suicide. We learn about the death of his young daughter -who he sees as a ghost like figure everywhere and led to his bad divorce - and his years under cover. Rust does not do well at the station. Marty warns him he will rub folks the wrong way but Rust still talks the way he talks. Being the anniversary of his daughters death, Rust picks the day he was supposed to have dinner with Marty's family to have a drink. We learn the reason he is to tightly wound. He does not do well when he loses control. Hilarious moment when Marty stages an excuse for Rust to leave and Rust ignores the blatant "hints".  Another child was chased by the "green-eared spaghetti monster" and there a lot of references to "The Church" Dora Lange
The gritty vast expanse of farms and swamps is the perfect backdrop for the developing murder mystery as Rust goes looking for info and barbiturates from the local hookers. They follow leads to a missing girl, Marie Fontenot. They find another twig formation in a broken down playhouse.

2012 - A very different Rust & Cohle are being interviewed by CI separately. they have not seen each other since an alluded to incident in 2002. Rust is now a Bartender that drinks on his day off. Marty is now divorced and running a private investigation firm. Detectives Papania and Gilbough are investigating a new murder related to the 1995 affair. But we learn the 1995 crime was solved. New cops want to know what really happened in 1995 & 2002.

EPISODE TWO "Seeing Things" January 19, 2014
1995 - Rust and Marty continue to investigate the Dora Lange Murder. Rust - missing a filter - calls Mart out on cheating on his wife. "You smell like P...". Marty gets defensive and strains their already rocky relationship. Disoriented form the drugs he is taking, Rust gets pissy when Reverend Billy Lee Tuttle's "anti-Christian crimes" task force shows up to take over the case. Rust and Marty to keep the case but continue to rub the superiors the wrong way. The team follows a lead - from Rust's drug dealing hooker (turns down the sex) -

CAST/CHARACTERS
Matthew McConaughey as Det. Rustin "Rust" Cohle
So this is the year of Matthew McConaughey, right. And this performance should solidify him as the best actor in Hollywood. Only problem how do you top this? This is his Breaking Bad. Bran Cranston will now work non stop till he drops dead. But what will satisfy like Walter White. Same for Rusty Gohle. The writers have delivered the perfect pitch and Matthew hit it out of the park!!!

Woody Harrelson as Det. Martin "Marty" Hart
Woody plays the perfect anchor. Like a great comedy team, Matthew's work does not work without a dramatic straight man to hold it together performed on the same level of commitment. In 1995 he is the regular guy that unwinds at the bar and gets involved with the wrong girl. Even though he is already married. He redeems himself somewhat but falls off the wagon with booze and girls in 2002.

Michelle Monaghan as Maggie Hart
Michael Potts as Det. Maynard Gilbough
Tory Kittles as Det. Thomas Papania
JD Evermore as Detective Bobby Lutz
Dana Gourrier as Cathleen
Joe Chrest as Detective Chris Demma
Dane Rhodes as Detective Favre

VAMPIRE DIARIES / THE ORIGINALS

Mystic Falls is a West Virginian Town where everyone sounds like they are from New England. Except for British actors playing originals of course. The high school kids drink in bars w/o fake IDS served by 15-16 bar tenders, played by 25-35 yo actors. Rings keep Vampires safe during the day. Pretty much if you are African American you are or are related to a witch. Vampires can kill werewolves but if bit vampire is bit by the wolf, vamp dies a slow painful death. yet another series that tries to reinvent the wheel known as Vampire Lore mixed in with typical CW soapy teen angst and we still tune in to watch every week. I was bit from early on. I much prefer the new Originals spin off - better actors, cooler back drop of New Orleans, crazier witches, higher stakes... But still watching weekly...

The show, based on the books by L.J. Smith, first premiered in 2009. I remember when they first came out we were all like - WOW another Twilight rip off. But the books predate Twilight  by 14 years.Although I am sure, the amount of money made off the crappiest movies I have ever seen were inspiration to do more Vamps on film.

Vampire Diares Cast

VAMPIRE DIARIES MAIN PAGE

Nina Dobrev portrays Elena Gilbert, the main protagonist, whom the series follows as she falls in love with Stefan, and later she falls for his brother Damon Salvatore, creating a love triangle. This results in her being drawn into the supernatural world, with the show following her struggles in surviving supernatural events in the town. Dobrev also portrays Elena's doppelgÀnger Katherine Pierce, also known as Katerina Petrova, who was originally introduced as the main antagonist of the second season, but later became the secondary antagonist of the second season. Similar to her significant portion in Season Two, Katherine appears as a main character in the fifth season, playing a more sigificant role in the story arc, as opposed to her sporadic appearances in prior seasons. Dobrev has also played a third doppelgÀnger, Silas' true love known as Amara, whom he was seeking to find in the afterlife for thousands of years.

Paul Wesley portrays Stefan Salvatore, a good-hearted and affectionate vampire, and the complete opposite of his older brother, Damon Salvatore. Later in the series, Stefan reverts to his old ways as a Ripper to save Damon from a werewolf bite and his role becomes more antagonistic. VAMPIRE DIARIES MAIN PAGE

Episode 15 GONE GIRL March 6, 2014 OR As I rename it "MOMMY DEAREST"

Just finished watching latest Episode of Vampire Diaries. Great episode. One of the best. Almost felt like a season closer. High action, a lot of story lines wrapped and a big cliff hanger of sorts...

They know. And they know I know they know.... Yep its one of those things...

End of last ep, Nadia was bit by Taylor. Well that does not end well. But the whole episode is a bit of a farewell to the tragic character. We really feel sad for her 500 year old cursed walk of the earth in search of mom. And Catherine is sincerely sorry for the first time - or rare at least. But she does not go quietly...

During that time, Damien - escaping from the family dungeon - goes on a bender and tortures Dr Wes Maxfield (Rick Cosnett) to death in search of Catherine/Elena.

The Death of Nadia and Catherine are Epic Shakespearean. Almost has over tones of Romeo and Juliet. The are finally together in death. In Catherine's farewell soliloquy we knew it would be Stefan all along - the only one she truly loved.

But then, the Ghost moment.... When Catherine is unable to pass into the void of supernatural limbo through Bonnie - I was waiting for the demons to come out of the shadows and drag her down. Instead she flies away like a leaf in the wind - sucked out of the church...

The early days of Manga: Ultra Man, 7, Q, N Project, and the movies

Long before Power rangers, a number of TV shows form japan featured robotic heroes powered by real people against monsters of ridiculous creations. And my favorite of all of these was Ultra Man.

In fact at the age of 5, Ultra Man got me into big trouble. I karate chopped the family allergist. Take that for giving me weekly shots!!! But I grew up watching old Monster movies on TV with mom so this was a no brainer. Along with Speed Racer these shows were the only ones I preferred to Super Hero Cartoons by DC Comics and Marvel.

It all started with Ulta Q, a black 7 white series in 1966. Watch this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoT0Xdop8LM). It is in Japanese but you get an idea for the quality, which I find to be very high for a live action supernatural based show of the 1966s. Cinematography matches that of Godzilla - almost. Better than Power ranger made 30-40 years later for sure... Funny, I think the monster trips and falls by accident but in the giant rubber suit they kept it. But no Ultra Man yet - To the rescue is a giant turkey. A turkey that shoots lazers out of its beak. DUDE! Top that!!! Many of the monsters were refurbished Godzilla suits.

By 1967 the Ultra Universe would forever surround Ultraman and the Ultra Crusaders. The original Ultraman is a 1967 series. Shin Hayata is heroic as a young man but with a quick wave of his arm he calls upon Ultra Man and he becomes teh giant Robot. WATCH EPISODE ONE HERE In Japanese. but I love it and the title song brings back memories. Ultra Man had a number of spin offs and sequels and remakes... Knock offs have never quite captured the greatness of this show...

I used to watch reruns of a show called Johnny's robot. (GIANT ROBOT in Japanese). Similarly a Giant Robot saves the day but in this case it is controlled by a young boy. Very similar to the animated series Gigantor. Gigantor was rebooted on SCI FI channel in 1993. The show was a bit hokier. By making a young boy the main character I think they killed appeal to older audience Ultraman maintained.

All of this dates back to Astro Boy. 1952 in Japan (1963 US release). Originally called Mighty Atom, this series has had a number of comic book, TV shows and even a 2009 Movie that I personally liked. Jetter Mars is another knock off of Mighty Atom that was short lived in 1977.

I remember when Power Rangers first started. I hated it. I watched it because I love the genre. Of course i say the same thing about Smallville on CW as the ultimate Superman Geek. But Power Rangers lost me. Bad writing and I was just too old to get hooked. I watch a lot of the shows form my childhood and I feel the same way. But some things stand the test of time. For me Ultraman is such a show...

PS I have barely scratched the surface of Manga. I will revisit in the future...

Supernatural & Possible Spin Offs

From what I can tell, Supernatural is the least talked about most popular show in American history. I LOVE IT!!! And I feel anytime I ask someone about it, they love it. Very few are as up to date as I am. Many watch on Netflix etc when they can to catch up.

I think the moral of the story is - I watch WAY TOO MUCH TV!!!

But this show seems to be going strong way past when most give up. Smallville lasted 10 seasons on far less.

Sam & Dean are better than ever. They have a unique dysfunctional brotherhood that seems so more real and loving at the same time. I think the writers, directors and actors deserve an enormous credit for not playing the dysfunction to heavy or comic. They have redefined the buddy cop genre.

I loved X-Files but the whole "Shipper Thing" - Are they together, but never show anything was just stupid. If you are going to have a thing deal with it and let it live on screen. Its as if Chris Carter wanted it but feared making it happen would kill the show. I think the whole uncertainty factor got old, drove David Duchovny form the show and left us with a limping 3 season to milk the money from the franchise. And don't get me started on the last movie... Sorry I digress....

There is talk about a spin off. Here is my pitch

Crowley (Mark Sheppard) and Castiel (Misha Collins) working together restoring order on earth in their longing for the good old days. Coming soon to CW...

These two have been paiied briefly on the series and they work great together.
A perfect comedy team!!!
Hell's Angels
This fall on CW?

ELI ROTH talks Horror & HEMLOCK GROVE on Netflix!

Hemlock Grove on Netflix

I binge watched Season One. Ready for Season Two. BRING IT!!!

I love this show. At times it is over stylized. I think the same story could have been told in 6 episodes perfectly.

At the heart of this story is a werewolf and something else. The two teens are friends and locking heads every other moment. They come together to solve the mystery of a killer wolf. Peter Rumancek wonders if he is capable of murder.

Roman Godfrey clearly is a supernatural but not till the final episode do we find out what for sure... However Famke Janssen as Olivia Godfrey seems like a remake of THE HUNGER form day one to me. Calling themselves UPIR this is just a variation of Vampire. (FROM URBAN DICTIONARY UPRI -  Russian vampire that function during daylight hours. Eats children then their parents. Said to be the most vicious vampire.)

BTW Freya Tingley as Christina Wendall is amazing for any actress of any age.

FROM WIKI
Hemlock Grove is an American horror thriller television series for the online video streaming company Netflix. The show is from executive producer Eli Roth, developed by Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman, and is a production of Gaumont International Television. It is based on McGreevy's novel Hemlock Grove, which was published on March 27, 2012.[1] The show premiered April 19, 2013, with all 13 episodes made immediately available for online viewing.

The show examines the strange happenings in Hemlock Grove, a fictional town in Pennsylvania. Roman Godfrey, heir to the town's wealthy Godfrey family, befriends the town's newcomer Peter Rumancek. Recent brutal murders in the town have stirred up rumors, and the two work together to shed light on the case while also hiding their own dark secrets.

On June 19, 2013, Netflix renewed Hemlock Grove for a second season of 10 episodes to air in 2014.[3] On July 18, 2013 Netflix earned the first Primetime Emmy Award nominations for original online only web television for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2013. Three of its online original series, House of Cards, Arrested Development and Hemlock Grove, earned nominations.

The series is set in the town of Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania. The town is a mixture of extreme wealth and poverty, as the closing of the town's steel mill many years earlier caused many to lose their jobs. The town's main sources of employment are now the Hemlock Acres Hospital and Godfrey Institute for Biomedical Technologies. Run by the powerful Godfrey family, the Institute is rumored to conduct sinister experiments on a daily basis. The town's rumor mill turns even more twisted when two teenage girls are brutally killed, their bodies left for unsuspecting people to find the next day. Peter Rumancek, a 17-year-old Gypsy, is suspected of the crimes by some of the townsfolk and is also rumored to be a werewolf. While he is secretly a werewolf, he is not the killer, and, along with the heir to the Godfrey estate, Roman, he sets out to solve the mystery.
